INFANTS
NURTURING AND RESPONSIVE INFANT CARE
Highly responsive early infant care is critical to your child’s success in school, relationships, and life. Quality Time Learning Center provides a safe environment where your baby will be loved and cared for. An environment where our highly trained teachers will work to stimulate your baby’s cognitive, emotional, and physical development through movement, exploration, and one-on-one nurturing.
YOUR BABY’S DAY
The infant classroom at Quality Time Learning Center is equipped with areas designed to stimulate your baby’s learning. In addition to providing standard care and play time throughout the day, your infant’s teacher will engage your child through:
- Movement: Infants use their senses and bodies to learn about the world. Movement allows your baby to participate in teacher-guided physical development exercises, using soft climbers, mats, balls, push and pull toys, instruments, bean bags, and baskets.
- Exploration: Manipulating objects and interacting with different materials helps babies learn early math and science concepts like sizes, shape and texture, and practice key skills such as hand-eye coordination.
EXPERT LEADERSHIP
The infant program is led by two specialists with almost 40 years of professional infant care between them. The ratio for the infant room is 1 teacher : 3 students. There are two separate groups of six students. Children can start in the infant room at 6 weeks and begin transitioning to the Toddler Program at walking age, between 12 and 18 months.
